Last week was filled with great times with family and friends here at Grand Harbor. We celebrated Independence Day all weekend with several community events. Our highlight of the weekend was our Grand Harbor Community 4th of July Parade held on Sunday, July 2nd. Our wonderful Grand Harbor families decorated their golf carts and floats to show their patriotism as they drove through the neighborhood. Check out our gallery of pictures above provided by Grand Harbor Member Viktoria Carlyle. Our annual Flag Tournament was also held this past Saturday.  We had a total of 20 teams participate and we would like to extend a huge congratulations to winners Viktoria Carlyle, Donn Carlyle, Ron Hopson and Mark Kingman. With such a close fight, there were three teams to tie for 2nd place. We would like to thank all participants. Craig Malone (PGA Head Professional) and Trent Venters (Golf Course Superintendent) and their respective staffs continue to do a great job working together to provide great golf events for our members complimented with ideal playing conditions.

Sunday, we had over 40 – 2 person teams participate in our Corn Hole Tournament down at the Cabana on the beach.  Libby Brooks (Food & Beverage Manager) setup and coordinated a great event.  Congratulations to our winners Dennis and Patrick Van Every.  They took home the grand prize of a $100 food credit at either of our dining facilities.   Sunday was one of our biggest attended days at the Cabana (approximately 350 members and their families).  There were frozen drink specials as well as Chef Daniel Hill offering up some great BBQ by the pound as well as hot off the grill Brats!  The Food & Beverage Staffs did a fantastic job making sure all our members and families were taken care of.

This week we look forward to our weekly events and our Junior Clinics starting today through Friday. Members join us for 9 & Dine and be sure to sign up for Trivia on Wednesday, July 12th. Have a great week everyone!!
